Southern Missouri | Yes sir I do , was next to last bidder on only decent piece in auction , square 160 that had 85 acres of hillside gullies and 75 acres of leveled furrow irrigated good farm and was close to me . Brought 7550 , I just have absolutely no use for the hillside gully part and worried how to get rid of it and neighbor was other bidder , only us two from 5500 on up ,and I could tell he was gonna go on up and I would of only went a little further so just dropped out . Talked to them after sale and they were 1031ing and would have went on ,glad I quit . The other farm that sold was absolutely junk ,complete lifeless blow sand on a lot of it with about a 6 foot drop down to a gumbo swag , lot of it not been being farmed , that little area had sand boils from the 1812 new Madrid quake,it started at 3 k and went on up to 5500 and stopped , said they had to have 5750 but after negotiations the high bidder got it for 5600 , then there was the 6 percent buyers premium , that piece seemed way way high to me , the 7550 on the better farm included the 6 percent | |
