| Brother went to start pulling tractor and said it was slow turning. He attached battery charger and by mistake turned it to boost start and walked away. Said he came back about 5 minutes later and battery was dripping. He turned off charger and cleaned up the fluid. I assume it was acid but don't know for sure. I set the battery outside on cardboard for about an hour and no signs of further leaks. It test at 12.4 volts but I have not tried a load test. Battery is 7 years old. Should I load test it or just throw in the towel to be safe and go get a new one. Battery in the past never failed to start the tractor but it has set for over a year with no maintainer. In the past we always started the tractor every few weeks but due to engine mods it has set for a long time and not started.
