I can’t agree more. If 20 year crp is only 2.5% organic matter. How is it possible to move that number with cover crops that only get 5 inches tall before it’s time to plant.
I think it’s what’s below the surface that matters most. That’s why growing “massive” corn and wheat crops build organic matter better than beans. And I agree, COC can get you headed in the right direction pretty quick. |
