 northeastern Ohio | I don't know if there is any connection, but I had a Deere 6500 sprayer that would not restart when hot. You could crank it for an hour and it would not even sputter. Wait for it to cool down and it would fire right up.
One day I was in the middle of the field and a long ways from home when I shut it down without thinking. No start. Poured some cold water on the injection pump and it fired right up. Everyone will tell you that its a bad idea and will ruin the pump. Probably will. But this trick saved me several times. If this works, it is a sign that your injection pump needs rebuilt. | |
