| 16 feet is too wide, make it 12 feet at most if working it on foot, slightly wider if on horseback, that can work if your animals will enter the bud box from the lower side of the drawing, but since your building is only 20 feet wide the part that I have questions about is will the cattle enter the building directly into the bud box willingly or will it be a battle to get them in there?, benefit of the drawings in the link I posted is they would come in the end walk past the chute and then comeback thru the alley towards the daylight where they came in. . One of the times these drawings have been posted on here one of the regular posters here stated he had one of the designs and like it. Otherwise Jake's drawing is good other then box is too wide, just not sure how cows will feel about entering the building and the bud box at the same time, will depend on your cattle some, also how used to going in and out of the building are they and if they will go up the alley if it is darker then the door area of the bud box, maybe someone else will weigh in on these concerns. | |
