Central ND | Just because I'm a precision tech doesn't mean I'm fully up to snuff with all technology.
I built my last PC in 2013, and I need to replace it because I have a need to update to Windows 11.
My kids plan to play some games on it, so I'm trying to balance that with my need to just do some CAD modeling and working with prescription maps.
My 11 year old wants to do some Fortnite streaming stuff on it, and my 16 year old wants to do some VR stuff too, they have told me I need to build an AMD system rather than Intel. They helped me put the list together, but I chose a lot of cheaper options than they originally wanted, their original list came out to nearly 7 grand!
Hopefully someone is knowledgeable about the current computer parts and can tell me if this is a decent parts list to assemble one that will make my kids happy.
I should mention I would like this computer to hopefully still be ok for my use 10 years from now.
