Subject: RE: Shattercane in corn. Drone?

WE have used the drone and Roundup late in the season. They don't want to come until they are done with fungicide.
We had some cane where the operator stays away from the trees.
I did walk the beans for cane and did a little in the corn before he sprayed.,
Ideally one would spray roundup every 30 days for cane control.
WE used Dual last year early in the season.
One would probably get some good, even if you sprayed just before black layer. That would hurt the corn a bit but no a lot.
To me, the cost of the traited corn would be more than offset by the chance to get rid of the shattercane.
