IDK, but every crop insurance meeting I've been at, the crop insurance company rep pointed out that you have a certain # of days after harvest of a crop is complete to report a crop loss. If you didn't notify the crop insurance company that you think you will have a loss within that time frame, they will deny your claim and there's nothing they can do about it. The only way to extend that time is by notifying them of a possible crop loss and having them appraise it while it's still in the field.
