Leesburg, Ohio | Pad is 32' x 60' with center 8' wide hay bunk section raised 6" above aprons.
Aprons where cows stand to eat are 12' wide.
Feeder panels are 30' long (3 x 10' each)
Concrete extends another 30' past end of hay bunk for manure storage.
We can drive skid loader down through hay bunk to place bales and scrape out waste.
Also use the 12' gates on aprons to drive through to scrape aprons off.
5" diameter steel poles are tall enough and heavy enough to support 24' wide roof trusses and a metal roof over hay and over 8' of cow apron on each side.
Very little waste so far...we think significantly less than we were seeing from a hay feeder wagon and hay rings.
Located next to gravel barnlot right outside front of hay barn...no driving/slogging around through mud to feed hay. | |
