I'm going to agree that there normally isn't burn, but the greener parts have the N and lighter parts don't. To me it looks more like a residue difference from a tillage pass like a VT tool was bouncing or something. Here is a picture from my own fram where I was doing some nitrogen trials experimenting with extra spring N/ split N applications. It should be obvious where the 40lbs of spring applied N are...
