Several different groups so different ways they get tagged.
Birthdate up top, first number is always the last digit of the year, corresponding numbers are in what order they were born and that number is on both sides of the tag, bottom left is dam and bottom right is sire.
One group is all red tags/regardless of sex- all tags in the left ear
Second group blue for bulls/ yellow for heifers-all tags in the left ear
Third group is green tags but left ear for heifers to match the cows and right ear for bulls
Being able to differentiate between bulls and heifers when sorting by glancing at there tag is nice. Also like being able to see there dam and sire when checking them throughout the summer, easy mental note of things you like and don’t like
