NW Illinois | Surfactants are a tough beast to try and tame. It's difficult to decipher what's in each and then they really don't have to tell you how much is in a gallon. Most ingredients are exempt from label requirements. Today you have 4-5 things in one mix, that way it can be used all over the US and over a wide range of situations all under one jug. Jack of All trades and master of none kind of mentality in my opinion but they sure have big marketing campaigns.
Example of the difference here is R-11 is basically a pure non-ionic or a spreader/sticker. LI700 is actually an acidifier as well as a surfactant. Or another words a water PH lowering product. So it may be difficult to tell if the surfactant part is that much better than R 11 or since certain chemistries prefer lower carrier PH's that is what is helping it work better. | |
