The value of manure and cover crops following wheat took a few years. A variety of benefits but they don't hit you in the face right away. I also think gypsum on my heavy clay high magnesium has paid benefits but its at least 2 years before you (or at least me), to see the benefits. Every acre i own gets 1 ton every 5 years.
