ECIL | I witnessed the same "wave" over the years from spring AA applied at a 10 degree angle. Did a lot of digging and observation. Except for a limited instance of a too close planting window never could document any root "burn". As we were dealing with bean stubble with only a field cultivator pass prior to planting along with running the AA bar as deep as the shank springs would allow (10-12 inches) I really thing it was a function of the tillage aspect more than the AA itself. I never really thought it affected the yield as the field evened up after a week. We did switch to applying AA straight and that has eliminated the issue | |
