Central Missouri | That is a good question. I dont think it is made clear in the paper. 4-20 ppm of the water volume applied? Or of the weight of soil treated? Or something else it is hard to tell. We are trying to figure it out on our farm because What is not hard to tell is that sufficient cobalt in the plant improves nutrient uptake and water use efficiency. As farmers we can tile out excess water and we can provide the different nutrients in sufficient quantities necessary to maximize water use efficiency. Cobalt is probably not the only nutrient that has this affect. I would suggest that every most limiting nutrient has this same affect on the uptake of other nutrients. | |
