NE Illinois | Dear lord people!… he’s trying to narrow it down to R1 to get some actual responses and every reply beats around the bush and doesn’t answer a thing. The VT-R1 timing still has a huge impact on grain fill and yes most people who have taken an agronomy class know that the ear is set but that’s not what he is asking. I like all research based info that’s put out on this site and most of the discussions but give me a break! He narrowed it down for you to give a real answer and no one has. And the reason that it’s ridiculous that no one has is because there are plenty of people that say it’s necessary to throw in boron, sulfur, and any other micro at tassel with no replicated data or testing to back it up….
