CNY | Wife and I are cow people. Very little pig experience. She bought a gilt at the 4h auction last summer and decided she wanted to breed it AI. We were able to find it in heat by putting hands on the rump like a boar mounting. Know it when you see it, she freezes. She stuck after the 2nd AI breeding and had a litter of 8. Raised them well and they were weaned about 6 weeks ago. Have been going into the pen and putting hands on like before and she will not show heat. What could we be doing wrong / what else could we try / thoughts? Thanks. This is more of a pet project for her | |
