2. Was old or new info incorrect?
3. Are plants more efficient these days?
4. Is the crop less nutrient dense now than it used to be?
5. Is some of the ‘info’ supplied by liquid fertilizer salesmen?
6. Old economics of adding fertilizer, if a little is good a lot is better and it’s cheap, good economic returns for adding a lot to depleted soils. Vs today fert costs too much and some soils might be closer to balanced right to begin with. | |
