| Been some time since I have read up on brand laws. Here in California shoulders, ribs, and hips are approved place for ownership brands, maybe the jaw too . You may put a number brand directly under your ownership brand. We and some others have been putting a single digit under our ownership brand on heifers we may keep. I am way to old for the cattle business if I cannot see 10 years on a cow.
Back in the early 1970's my dad bought a load of heifers out of northern Calif that a circle band as you show was the ownership brand. No idea if that is still registered in Calif or not. | |
