| Have no doubt that the counties in your area of Mn have a larger real estate tax bill. Sounds like the increase is mainly due to valuations of your land. Congrats your land is worth more. If the value of your land goes down, your tax will likely follow.
I have read the mayors letter. It is the same Republican talking points regurgitated. Nothing new or earth shattering. Party out of office complaining about the party in office is not what I would call newsworthy.
The dispersal of federal funds was fraudulent with 2022 feeding our future scandal. But those who cheated were brought to justice. Should have never happened. But the recent rhetoric of fraud is unfounded with no actual facts to back up the fraud claims.
The day cares in the Nick Shirley video have been investigated and cleared of any wrongdoing.
It is akin to DOGE claiming trillions in fraud and abuse. In the end there has been no fraud conviction due to Doge activities.
There have been estimates of an additional 628 million over 3 years for the work leave program. This would leave a smaller surplus over the period rather than a bigger deficit.
Over the past years the budget projections have consistently underestimated the surplus that has actually occurred.
