SW Ohio | I was always told the problem is not the super cold weather, but rather the freeze and thaw. If it does that cycle at just the wrong time it can tear the roots apart and that is when you get no wheat crop.
I'm more concerned about water lines freezing with an extended cold stretch coming later this week, if we don't get any snow cover. Few inches of insulation will keep underground lines flowing | |
