Very southern Mn | We own land in 3 mn counties, same increases.. Sell Real estate in many more, same. Alot of RE tax raise was change in formula, is what my county assessor friend told me. State has been pushing local assessors on values, although some of states stupidity on values corrected when sales in 2024 far below a lot of valuations. ( have posted in the past how they took comps in 23 and added a percentage every month to increase value and than use adjusted as a comp)
. Mayor letter was just let out to public 2 weeks ago, you can read that on about any google search. State is also responsible for the Whole budget, which they include in their budget, including how they disperse Fed funds which seems to have pixxed of the fed government as well. Current work leave program is all on the state and it looks like it is going to put an even bigger deficit than planned, plus may drive out even more business and tax receipts . Last years budget forecasting for state has been very optimistic. | |
