Is vet clinic a corporation? If they are a corporation no need to 1099 as you do not send 1099s to corporations. As far as the $600 I am pretty sure that rule went out the window a few years ago and you have to 1099 amounts for all services, not just over $600.


This is the direct quote from the article:

“However, in the case of veterinary services or when paying legal fees to an attorney that is part of a corporation, a 1099 is necessary.”

This is where I’m maybe wrapped around the axle - it makes it sound as though the vet clinic is a different case than a lawyer in a corporation.
