| I have a Mennonite crew chop for me. I have rye and some hay chopped for me in the end of may and corn silage in September. It is tricky to get 60 to 80 acres cut in a day and then not have the rye get to dry before it gets chopped . I fill ag bags and that is the bottle neck of the job. I have done it for 20 or more years and it works ok. I sometimes wish I would have a cement pad to put it on but did not think I would keep the cows this long, but times are to good to quit now. I will probably keep until the get cheap again and then quit. I know that is opposite of what I should do but I have a knack for doing things wrong. | |
