Aid to cities and counties in Mn remains at 2024 levels

Cities (LGA): The total amount of LGA certified for all Minnesota cities in 2026 is $644,398,012, which is the same amount certified for 2024 and 2025. While there were discussions regarding potential cuts, the final 2025 legislative session did not reduce the overall LGA appropriation.
Counties (CPA): Total County Program Aid (CPA) for 2026 was certified at $340,962,125, maintaining a similar level to 2025 ($340,981,729).

Real estate taxes in Mn have increased an average of 5% per year for 2024-2026.
