Galena IL | Any reason Beef cows can't have haylege instead of wrapped hay bales? They are out on corn stalks and if the snow gets deep or extreme cold we unroll dry stalk bales for them. Reason I'm thinking about it we can chop and bag 300 acres of hay in a long day or bale and wrap 300 acres in 5 or 6 days. Two herds would get fed in feeder wagons the other with a TMR in turned tires. Would still bale some dry hay for them if the weather allows... Dennis | |
