Very southern Mn | Real estate taxes big time. Affecting farmers big time AND elderly living in their houses that they thought were paid off. ( having re tax as much as their payments used to be) Biggest issue is state still short so who can they get more tax money out of? Mn budget if my sources are correct went from about 38 billion in 2017 to around 40 billion in 2020 which would seem normal. Than after DFL took over all houses, went to 60’s last year. Really not whole story as Waltz has cut a lot of direct aid to cities and counties to balance budget in 25, 26 and 27. So yes illegals have affected agriculture and tax payers in Mn. Majority all social spending. This year introduced paid leave of up to 12 weeks for anybody that qualifies. This new program could make the other fraud look small. I read somewhere this week, can’t verify, that Minneapolis police have already had 100 of their force apply, this is a force that is reduced significantly of what it was. I believe Fry in one of his speech’s say they have 600 police officer’s currently. So just short of 20%. So in response to OP, it is affecting us. | |
