Water temp is 200 but the exhaust temperature can be 1000 degrees if it’s getting worked. Our firehall is 68 degrees so we don’t plug in block heaters but each truck/pickup has battery maintainers working.

We do the exact same deal , maintainers plugged in before we ever leave .

I like to kind of treat the fire trucks like my own truck .

I really dont like starting an engine and putting it on the mat . I have done that a few times with my own pickup when it sounds real bad .

I try to make driving fast and beating on equipment , the exception , not my normal way i do things .

I will not lie and say i have not beat on the truck i drive most of the time , Ill also not lie and say i have not driven it pretty damn fast . Got your brothers from your and other department out gunned and in trouble . Thats the time to get your ass there .
