Interesting comment and well taken.  I was thinking all the younger cows going back into a rebreed program as they approach 2$ a pound.  Rebreed and sold in a cow sale as a dispersal is a huge industry in Missouri and has been, this is not new.

I am sure they are cutting those young cow rib-eyes for steaks.

I have wondered and thought about using implants in cows.  Some studies available, says will work and has been done.  But was told in our program of Last Calf Heifers... feed cows and early wean calves it could suppress milk production.

You use an implant after you wean the calf and put the cow on full feed for 75 days.
