Because without the subsidies..........land wouldn't be priced so high (which I've bought some of that high priced land), fertilizer wouldn't be so high (which I've bought a lot), and chemicals wouldn't be so high (ditto the last). Also, I've paid a LOT of taxes through the years. Both income and real estate.
With all of that said...........I still get your point. As long as you understand too that we all haven't been able to just pocket those subsidies and watch them grow. That money has elevated a lot of the general economy. Especially the Ag Retailers. | |
