Illinois | Did the tenant ask you for a rent reduction? If so, maybe the question is ok and you want to make yourself feel better that you aren't the only one receiving fewer dollars from this person. If you are lowering the rent price without being asked, then I don't see his personal business to any of your business.
So I am a landlord at this point. Have been for 4 years.
If I lower my rent cost by 10%, should I ask the tenet what they have done to lower other cost also. Just to have the conversation?
Land cost is about 30% of production cost. I would guess.
My rent is in line with local and county avg. And for aph.
