Central Illinois | https://www.jcb.com/en-US/industries/agriculture/telescopic-loaders/ The JCB website shows the differences of the 320 and 420.
We have a TM320 and it moves bales (4'X5' dry and wet). My son found and bought a 2 bale fork to gather and load bales. You have to be careful with 2 wet bales, especially when telescoping the boom. It loads manure, and many other objects with the pallet forks. I have lifted some things which have brought the rear wheels off the ground. That was a rare event, but when you use the JCB you find new ways to use it. ;-)
We also have an HLA bale slicer which works well and saves time when feeding. We had a skid-steer coupler adapted with the Q-Fit brackets for the HLA. The only drawback is the skid-steer side is not built heavy enough for the JCB TM320 lift and breakout capacities. In my opinion, the TM420 would destroy anything other than a Q-Fit bracket. I bet you will find a use for the TM420 capacities. I'm not sure it would be those every day events. If you have cattle, the 50 grand would best put towards a vertical beater manure spreader. Good luck. | |
