Don't take this the wrong way as I know nothing about you, but one thing I've observed - some of the most frugal farmers that became landlords - rent to some of highest spending operations that farm completely 180 degrees different than they did when they were farming. And whether the big spender is wrong, or the frugal retiree is wrong, is all up for debate. Obviously they are both sort of right for the time being as the frugal landlord survived through it and paid it off, and the big spender is still going, too. Knowing those situations, if the frugal retiree had a son/daughter farming that they were mentor to there's absolutely no way the retiree would advise/allow them to farm like the big spender does. Everyone has a different strategy. | |
