ND | We had either IH or JD mostly but after bad luck with a IH 560 gas we tried a MF 1100, Dad didn't like alot but tractors were hard to come by in 1975 so traded for a New MF 1135--it was better but seemed to last only 3000 to 3500 before engine overhaul & both axles snapped, switched to JD since & really no troubles now in 8000 hrs. There were alot of Olivers around here but not so many Whites, very few AC, alot of IH, a few Case, very few MM, probably more IH in 70's till Deere came with the 30 & 40 series. IH stayed with the noisier cab vs JD in the Sound Gards is a reason Deere got ahead, as well as other reasons. | |
