Has anyone put steer command z2 from ag leader on a 2wd boxcar magnum. Really don’t want to hang anything on the steering wheel. Already have Incommand go16 so don’t want another box in the cab.
To answer your question, yes. Its possible and you get pretty darn good results.
I run SteadySteer (assisted steering) on a 2wd 7220 pulling a 40' roller behind the planter pass.
10 mph, right down the rows on RTK. some conventional till, some no-till.
You're interested in an hydraulic solution? Little more cost and much more integrated, but SteadySteer is really good.
Regardless of steering type, you'll need to install the steering controller for Z2.
I mounted it to the left side of the seat with the Ag Leader supported bracket. Works for me because I swap that steering controller back and forth with the combine.
You could mount it under the seat if you really want to hide it, but would probably have to pull the seat.
Should also mention, we throw 6 or 7 suitcase weights in the rock box to help the front tires bite.
