Honestly, I do think Steadysteer is a step above an Ontrac 3, but not a huge step. The 3s just worked really well. Now the step from a 2+ to a 3 is substantial, especially in anything but a mfwd. Probably not a huge jump in one of those, but noticeable. Personally Id look for a 3 to use with the Compass and feed signal to the 700. You could use your 262 for both if its unlocked for a higher corrections source. Electristeer is an option, and since its the same hardware as a 3, a pretty decent option. Only kicker with it is service. They were only sold for a few years and a lot of your Case IH techs dont know much about them as there were never many out. Ive never been around one, so setup is a mystery to me beyond what would be the same in the AL flavor.
