Washington county Kansas | At one time there were more MF tractors in the world than any other brand. I was born in 1965 and the first tractor i drove was an MF 65. Dad also had a mf90 and super 90. We ground hog and cattle feed almost every day with that 65, and it smoked so much that more than once people would stop by thinking our farm was on fire! We ran case and hesston tractors through the 80's. These were all sold and serviced by the MF/case dealer 2 miles away. Almost every farm around here had MF combines on them until the mid 80's. They are still sitting in hedgerows all over the place.
We bought a CIH 7130 in the 90's and it was a really good tractor. Then we made the mistake of buying an Mx 200 and that was a big step backwards. We tried to plant with it and after spending thousands of dollars on the ac, 3 point and recurring electrical problems, we gave up and bought an MF 8250. That has been a great tractor for us. Last year we got a central fill planter and needed more hydraulics so we got an MF 8670. So far so good!
For all of my 60 years we have been blessed to have Kuhlman implement 2 miles away. They work on our challenger, Massey, white, gehl and case equipment and do a great job! Actually they work on pretty much anything I take up there. | |
