Yes it gets all the oil out. I poke a hole in the filter and my pump will suck it dry as well.

The problem with plates and belly pans is they get so beat up, if you can get the bolts out, you won't get them back in. Also they fill up with so much dirt and mud, it's a chore to clean out. CAT machines are the worst for that. The first S64 I did an oil change had dirt packed like concrete half way up the starter motor. It now has a hose on it.
