Central, IA | The VNR’s are a shorter hood, VNL is a bit longer. VNR replaced the VNM.
On gear ratios: If it’s a low 3ish it is probably an overdrive transmission. The mid 2’s are usually a direct drive transmission. You can look up the specs of the trans and do the math, but I think a 2.6 direct is close to a 3.2ish OD.
I bought a pair of 2019’s with a 3.25 and have been happy. I have put a soot sensor on each of them, but wasn’t too hard. I had to be a code reset tool to reset the code afterwards.
As for a wet kit, the transmission is different than every Eaton trans so they take a different PTO. Would probably need some programming to run it too. I would like to get one more with a wet kit.
