| depends how you use the tractor.
We had 2 766 tractors, one with TA, One never had a TA when dad bought it new. Never really missed it on the one without the way we used it.
The other we used on a hay bailer, and it was very handy to be able to pull back the lever and slow down when approching a big bunch of hay in the windrow, then throw the lever forward when the hay got lighter.
So if you do something like that and think you will use it, put in a new one. Back 40 years ago guys put in TAs from a company called Hy Capacity. I dont know if they are still the way to go or not.
