Subject: RE: Forklift dilemma?

sj3788 - 1/17/2026 08:13 So way long ago ( 40+ years ) worked in a warehouse and ran forklifts. The 3 wheel ones back then were only one wheel in the center. Turned really tight, somehow never seen them get flipped over but man it got close way too many times. Ran 4 wheel ones then and run one now and I can get in tight spots with mine very well. No tipping over chances unless something really stupid! The warehouse ones were electric back then, even then could run hard all day on a charge.

If the 4 wheeler has an oscillating steering axle it is no more stable and possibly less stable than the trike is if the trike has a solid axle.

The 4 wheeler would pivot on a steel shaft about 2" thick.   The trike has a pair of wheels on the ground about 2' wide that is the pivot point.
