Texas | Here it was 95% Ih or deere , with id say IH in the lead for a long time .
A long time ago a fellow opened a ford tractor dealership about 20 miles away . Grandad and i went there to look at the tractors . Im pretty sure niether of us had ever seen a ford of 130 horse , we were curious .That dealer did not last long , I think in my entire life i have not seen 5 fords over 100 horse .
another brand very rare here was the old Tan , then white Case tractors .
There was a massive Case dealership about 100 miles away , so they must have sold some .
There was , and might still be there an allis dealership in hillsboro tx . Their sales were gleaner combines . At one time Gleaner was pretty popular in our area .Dont think the dealer stocked allis tractors at all . In fact i think i have only seen one in use .
Of the what i call “ odd” tractors ,Oliver and then white probally sold more than all the “odd” brands put togther . | |
