Subject: RE: What area's of the country is Massey Ferguson really present

From the time that my long term memory began, about 79 or 80, there were plenty of Massey combines around here, but not really many tractors or implements. My dad has had a few Allis tractors, but mainly White while I was growing up and when I first started farming in the mid 90s. At its peak we had 3 White tractors, 3 combines, planter, digger, chisel, 2 plows. Only thing Massey I’ve been involved with for the past 25 years is the rotary combines, mainly because we had the big 9700 White axial which became the Massey rotaries. When we sold that big beast, I got an MF8570 which though not nearly as big, was much more reliable and easy to service. After that, I got my current Challenger 670, and would like to get into one of the later Massey combines yet before they are all used up. A year ago I did get a 515D Challenger with loader, so I guess that kinda counts for a yellow Massey too, like my combine. Have a pretty good dealer about a half hour away, Butler Machinery.
