Northern Illinois | Probably not what you want to hear. Consider an exit strategy from the farm. I stated farming in 1983 and until I retired there were only a couple of years that were not financially stressful. In retirement and looking back I wish I had the courage to consider a major life change.
I drank and sometimes drank in excess. I had a wife and two small girls who depended on me so I ended up working and working more. I made it but it was never easy. There are a lot of well paying jobs in the workplace today. Don't let the farm be your death sentence. | |
