Subject: RE: What area's of the country is Massey Ferguson really present

Coles County, Illinois
Here in the 60's Massey was really popular especially 410 and 510 combines. Oddly 20 series Deere tractors were rare. When Deere came out with the 30 series tractors many non-IH customers bought 4430 tractors. Deere had rear end issues with those but they stood behind and warranted them even though it was obvious most had been turned way up. That good will served them well. Massey lost sales to 6600 combines after that and never recovered.
