East of Broken Bow | I have a 1066 with the TA eliminator shaft in it.
Pros - no TA to go out, shifts easier (a lot less spinning mass that has to stop before you can put it in gear), no dump valve to keep in adjustment. more mechanically simple
Cons - no TA, so only 8 speeds instead of 16.
To be honest, if it were me, I'd get the heavy duty TA, and then change the hydraulic filter every time you change engine oil. Been doing that for over 25 years, and not one TA failer in 4 tractors with TAs since then. | |
