This creates a market without a seller above market value. Again in general farming is about a lifestyle to most and the property becomes sentimental instead of an investment. Farming needs a major overhaul in order to fix the problems.
So what are you proposing? Doing away with stepped up basis so there isn’t an incentive to hold land until death?
