it appeared I had approximately 8-9 satellites with GPS only and went to 13 with glonass.
Counting inside of the 15° degree circle, about 15 active currently where I live. Below 15° are not used in calcs. A GNSS receiver will pick/choose 3 to 5 satellites to use....depends upon which receiver model is used.
