Raise boom up couple feet and block up with 2x4, disconnect lines where they plumb into boom lift cylinders and block off cylinders with plug/cap. Knock the 2x4 out from under the boom and see what happens. If the boom goes down overnight with the cylinders blocked off, oil is bypassing within the cylinder. If the boom stays up overnight, probably bypassing within the valve body. Good Luck
