Subject: Thread Hijack… 24D on enlist beans… how did we get to use generic gly on RR beans back in the day?

20 miles west of Indianapolis Indiana
How did things go about 20-30 years ago when guys started using generic gly on RR and R2 beans? Did they do it off label? Did a patent expire? How did that go about? I am 41 and raised beans when I was 16. They were Rup beans. I hired the coop till I was about 20 or so, and then later went back to using a retailer for applications. And I don’t remember what happened when….

What will be the circumstances needed to apply LV6 to enlist soybeans?

Do we need a patent to expire? A formal change of legal tech agreement? A change of chemical labels? Or will enlist itself just come down in price enough to keep enough guys using it rather than risk off label application retribution?
